How to use
Paste natal positions (one per line) and transit positions. Use the orb slider to control sensitivity. The app highlights classical aspects and gives orb value; wheel displays planet markers. This tool does not compute planetary positions from ephemerides — you can copy positions from Astro-Seek or other sources and use them here for fast aspect checking.
❓ Transit Chart — Frequently Asked Questions
It compares your natal planet positions with transit positions you paste (or input) and highlights exact or near aspects (conjunctions, trines, squares, oppositions, sextiles, etc.) within a selectable orb.
You can enter decimal degrees (e.g.
145.32
) or simple zodiac notation like 10°30' Aries
, Sun 14 Aries
, or similar one-line entries — one planet per line.Use the Orb field to set how loose or tight the matching is (common values 4°–8°). Smaller orb = only very tight aspects; larger orb = more hits shown.
No — this tool does not fetch ephemeris data. It’s a fast aspect-checker: paste positions from Astro-Seek, Astro.com, or your ephemeris. (I can add an ephemeris option later if you want.)
Classical aspects are included: conjunction (0°), semi-sextile (30°), sextile (60°), square (90°), trine (120°), opposition (180°), plus a couple of minor ones (72°, 144°). Orb determines matching.
Natal dots appear on the inner ring (warm/yellow), transit dots on the outer ring (cyan/blue). Labels and a compact legend help you identify planets quickly.
Yes — use the planet checkboxes to include/exclude planets (Sun, Moon, Mercury, etc.). This helps focus on personal planets or outer-planet transits only.
The parser recognizes common planet names (Sun, Moon, Mercury…) and simple zodiac text. If a line lacks a planet name it will be read as a generic position. For best results, include planet names or standard formats.
Yes — use the Copy Results button to copy the aspects list to clipboard. You can paste it into notes, a report, or save as a text file manually.
This is a quick, front-end aspect analyzer — very useful for fast checks and teaching. For professional charts and exact planetary positions use a trusted ephemeris or astrology software (this tool can complement those workflows).
